Creating a Web Icon can seem a bit complicated. It took a
couple of hours for me to create a simple and unique icon from scratch. Here's
some simple tips, a little bit of IMAGINATION, and ready to use software you
may possess that can help you in creating a promo icon for your Catholic Youth
Group.
Try these Websites Out
Most of us use a student version of Microsoft - open up Power Point and use it asyour canvas in creating the icon. Be prepared with your theme, brief message, and whatever you want to include on the icon. Always include a web addy, or some form of link that will lead people to your site or actual venue.
When you are finished with icon, simply HIGHLIGHT the entire image. You will see all the text boxes and images STAND OUT. On any of the boxes that you HIGHLIGHTED, CLICK the RIGHT button on your mouse and you will see a window with a list of choices - find SAVE AS PICTURE. You can save it in some great formats like jpeg, bmp, or png. Give the icon a NAME and save it!
The rest is history my friend - Simple way to make an icon or a flyer. You're good to go in promoting it online, in your social media page, text, even at Church!
"The LORD was with Joseph and he enjoyed great success and was assigned to the household of his Egyptian master.
"When his master saw that the LORD was with him and brought him success in whatever he did, he favored Joseph and made him his personal attendant; he put him in charge of his household and entrusted to him all his possessions.
"From the moment that he put him in charge of his household and all his possessions, the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; the LORD’s blessing was on everything he owned, both inside the house and out."
(Genesis 39:2-5)
